The Business Model Canvas is a strategic management and lean startup template for developing new or documenting existing business models. It is a visual chart with nine blocks that describe a company's value proposition, infrastructure, customers, and finances. The nine blocks are:

  1. Value Proposition: What unique value does the company offer to its customers?

  2. Customer Segments: Who are the company's target customers?

  3. Channels: How does the company reach and serve its target customers?

  4. Customer Relationships: How does the company build and maintain relationships with its customers?

  5. Revenue Streams: How does the company make money?

  6. Key Resources: What resources (e.g., people, infrastructure, technology) does the company need to create and offer its value proposition?

  7. Key Partners: Who are the company's key partners (e.g., suppliers, distributors)?

  8. Key Activities: What activities does the company need to perform to deliver its value proposition?

  9. Key Partners: What costs does the company incur in order to run its business (e.g., rent, salaries)?

The Business Model Canvas is a useful tool for mapping out and communicating the key components of a business. It can help entrepreneurs and business leaders identify new opportunities, test and validate assumptions, and communicate their business model to stakeholders.
